Grocery App

I had to do research and design an app for a local grocery store. The brief was not very specific , and left all the user research to me. I started off with questionnaires and ended with full on Prototype testing on willing users, I identified pain points that the stakeholders users would have with grocery shopping and then tried to solve it all by using an app.

Targeted User

About 25-60 year olds.

Working or staying at home parents that take charge of the household shopping. (people with some form of income)

They have to be able to know their way around using a mobile app.

Are tired of shopping in an actual grocery store or love shopping online.

Someone who doesn't have time to shop physically and can set a specific time for delivery.

Cutting down the time it takes to shop: The amount of time users spend in the grocery store and how they want to cut that time down was a big need we found in our research, most users agreed that Grocery Shopping is too time consuming and would love a way to find a solution for quick and easy shopping.

Difficulty Finding stores nearby and Finding a store that sells everything all at once: A Lot of users struggle with store accessibility, either with transport, stores being too far or physical disabilities.

A big need for users is the fact that they need a store with most needs in one place, they want a store or online app that can provide every need they have in one place.

Most users will pay more money for better quality products and for an easier shopping experience.

A Lot of users struggle with store accessibility, either with transport, stores being too far or physical disabilities.

A big need for users is the fact that they need a store with most needs in one place, they want a store or online app that can provide every need they have in one place.

Users still worry about their health and wellbeing after the worldwide pandemic, and this is a big reason they would not want to go to a grocery store, mainly for ease of mind and not to be in crowded areas or places.

More Users are buying consciously and sustainably, most of the users I interviewed talked about buying products that are sustainable and some even talked about plastic packaging and buying products from brands that do not test on animals.
